1/ The factory valve is designed for the factory set up.
2/ By the time you add the canister and filter media it’s out of spec.

 Yes, yes, and yes ... and even though i had a recently new depression valve installed i removed it recognising that it would compromise the proper function of the catch can. And the unexpected result is that my engine is the cleanest it’s ever been - no oily film build up from the rocker cover gasket, or the from the front cam plug, or where the vent hose connects on the top of the rocker cover.
