Yes, a bit of heel / toe wear happening, wheel alignment needs doing again. The front end gets a real workout where I live. The black top breaks up and pot holes (craters) develop every winter from the constant stream of quarry trucks, then they’re “patched” up in dryer months and every other year whole sections remade. It’s a joke, it’s the only highway in Victoria that has permanent “Rough Surface” advisory signs. The tyres have done nearly 80,000km and I’ll buy them againWhat happened to your Discovery 2 today?

..... just got a good look at the situation - the radiator core has ruptured. I have have a new Rad, thermostat, water pump, and hoses put aside for some planned preventative maintenance - however fate intervened - bloody inconvenient these unplanned failures !!

    Hot glue.

Hot glue is not good for the inside of the car. My reversing screen fell off!!
I have refitted it with the old super glue and baking soda trick.

    Turned into a gutless P.O.S.

Driving to day, the engine started missing. It will not rev over 3000 rpm when driving. Will get up to 4000 rpm when in neutral.
Injector loom replaced in Jan 2020. Previous loom had silicon on plug. I can check the red plug.
cylinder balance? from -8 on Cylinder 1 to +16 on Cylinder 5. I think it is called the cylinder balance.
    no faults on Nanocom.
Yesterday the car went beautifully. Today runs like ****.

    Injector washers?

    Could be.
Back when bro had issues with his, and it felt like electrical faults(being TD5 noobs) .. I hooked up nanocom and found injector balances were relatively stable whilst cruising along, then suddenly go wildly out of whack like you see.
Watching this, the other issue the bro TD5 had was that as soon as this injector balance anomaly eventuated, engine would die and you would struggle to coast to a safe stop(no brakes!).
Did this consistently and tested it for consistency and problem was always repeatable.
The other issue was that when this happened, it'd take a couple of priming attempts to get it started again and lots of white smoke.

One time, doing the test I managed to shut down the engine just as the injector balance anomaly came up on the nanocom(less than a second to shut down .. pure dumb luck) .. and anyhow, shut it down coasted pulled up and she started straight away.

Many folks(here) advised that it was injector washers/seals .... we changed them, TD5 has been nigh on perfect ever since.

Bugger. You have an injector removal tool?
Did you replace all the bolts as well?
Car is running fine apart from that. Starts ok, I do see any smoke. I'll keep an eye on the oil level.
