My front tail shaft on my D2a decided to come adrift from the transfer case today [bawl][bawl][bawl]
A tiny little dent near the sump pan that cracked the sump seal So hopefully it is fixable.
I will need a new shaft though as the other one is completely buggered.
For a brief moment I actually thought about ditching the D2a then I eventually came to my senses after the tears had finally dried[bawl][biggrin]
The old girl will be dropped off at Wyatt's tomorrow for repairs[thumbsupbig]
The inability to grease the DC centreing bearing (unless you totally strip it) doesn't help, and if a seal goes on a uni you are toast, especially with the AC drain right above.
Why I did a pre-emptive swap for a Tom Wood shaft.
Jeep Konnection in Melbourne usually have them in stock.
Quicker than getting one from Tom, and around the same price.
sold it!
