I drained the Provent200. About 400mL of oil that would have gone into the intercooler. I'll make a note of the date, It would be interesting to see how much blow by is coming out of the engine.
Blow-by …. as in combustion gasses escaping past the piston rings can be measured with a manometer. What’s in the catch -can is condensed oil vapour and is a product of said blow-by [emoji4]Quote:

Replacing the rotoflex last weekend (where the hell has this week gone??) was apprehensive for sure after reading all the saga's, well upon inspection, both BIL and I looked and sighed at the driveshaft, considered just leaving the bearing in there and hoping for the best, tried vicing it out for a minute and went for a coffee. Well the solution was actually quite simple, weld a bar to it, break the seal by rotation and then in the vice and two small hammers going in unison for about three minutes and out it popped, felt good!!

Then onto plumbing, the upper return pipe from the radiator required fitting of the temp sensor for the EWP and a low coolant alarm, bit of cutting and placement, easy.

Then the how to plumb the line from the intercooler as the turbo outlet is now tight against the block and here we found the best way was up and over the air con. Now waiting on a 30' bend pipe after a NSW company just cancelled an order without explanation or worse notification... The Victorian office it turns out is not part of them anymore and have subsequently ordered one through them so will be next week. The S bend was alright but hopefully the 30' will be just right.

Then would appear that I survived a potential breakdown with the radiator hoses, they are off for replacement of the cooler to the P38 and although had to go to three places in Covid Melbourne should be picking them up this morning. Both a Pirtek and Enzed hose outlet were not really interested as they did not have the fitting??

The new to me D2a went for the RWC this week and as I knew it required new lower ball joints left it to them! They enjoyed it and had a laugh at the pain it gave, worst ball joints they have ever done!!!! This along with the headlights, front uni boot and tie rod was all that was required and the excess of oil down under the vehicle was only the remnants of a power steering fix that had been done previously, it was well spread out all under the engine down to the transfer case and they assured me that they could not detect any other leaks on the vehicle. Ohh, one of the uni's had a boot loose so just changed the axle which still had the uni on from when upgrading the D2 to Ashcroft's.
This thing has virtually full service books and invoices for the last 100.000 K's

Probably the most satisfying job I have ever done was polishing up some second hand headlamps, they had some heavy yellowing and half an hour with hand drill, wool for cutting and sponge for polishing pads, viola. Some vinyl covering and will stay good.

Got some sheepskin INSERTS for the front seat issue and these took only 3 days delivered from WA and they are good! Solves the issue of the grab handles with full fitted covers which on the D2 am having to get the knife out and cut to fit them snugly - the D2 has the side squab delamination where as the D2a a rip in the seat itself.

As this is going to remain pretty stock and be a daily driver,
Swap out the CHRA / tune, happy with the intercooler for now.
the rear SLS bags were recently changed,
came with new tyres fitted,
will change out the exhaust with the mid muffler delete pipe from the D2 so gets rid of the CAT,
remove the EGR (lost then found my egr delete kit for the D2 after getting a new one).
The radio I've upgraded already to BT with mic
Found a combined EGT & Boost SAAS gauge to fit I did not realize I had and must have purchased sometime over the last two years preparing for the D2 build.
