Blow-by …. as in combustion gasses escaping past the piston rings can be measured with a manometer. What’s in the catch -can is condensed oil vapour and is a product of said blow-by [emoji4]

Rear Rotoflex bearing removal and assorted jobs
Replacing the rotoflex last weekend (where the hell has this week gone??) was apprehensive for sure after reading all the saga's, well upon inspection, both BIL and I looked and sighed at the driveshaft, considered just leaving the bearing in there and hoping for the best, tried vicing it out for a minute and went for a coffee. Well the solution was actually quite simple, weld a bar to it, break the seal by rotation and then in the vice and two small hammers going in unison for about three minutes and out it popped, felt good!!

Then onto plumbing, the upper return pipe from the radiator required fitting of the temp sensor for the EWP and a low coolant alarm, bit of cutting and placement, easy.

Then the how to plumb the line from the intercooler as the turbo outlet is now tight against the block and here we found the best way was up and over the air con. Now waiting on a 30' bend pipe after a NSW company just cancelled an order without explanation or worse notification... The Victorian office it turns out is not part of them anymore and have subsequently ordered one through them so will be next week. The S bend was alright but hopefully the 30' will be just right.

Then would appear that I survived a potential breakdown with the radiator hoses, they are off for replacement of the cooler to the P38 and although had to go to three places in Covid Melbourne should be picking them up this morning. Both a Pirtek and Enzed hose outlet were not really interested as they did not have the fitting??
