The washers stopped. I looked under the bonnet, the tube going to the passenger side had come loose. I put it back and it parted again. Put it back a third time, and stuck a pin into the washer jets. Several pushes and wiggles with the pin and the washer work again.
They don't often block unless you're using poor water that leaves deposits, or the filter on the filler is poor. Still, the thing is at least 20 years old. I had to replace that hose that came off on yours because it had sorta perished and kept splitting at the barb on the bonnet. If you need to do this buy good quality stuff. Dayco is all right. Actually, it only comes in lengths that are way too much, so if you do need some let me know and the next time I'm over there I;'ll drop some in. Pretty sure I remember where you live.
Thanks for the offer.
The water comes out of the tap. With windscreen liquid or washing up liquid added. The filter is good. I would have though that the detergents would keep the dirt particles (silt) in solution, As I have had this 21 year old car for 9 1/2 years, I think it is going ok on this issue.
