If it is the same as a D2 , a Uniden will fit.
However the speaker is muffled unless you fit and extension speaker as I did , or you could drill some holes I guess.

GME TX3120 superslim. Can be flipped either way. I’ve got the speaker facing downwards. The mic also acts as a remote/extra/2nd speaker.

Remove the overhead console, drill 2 holes to fit 2 small bolts, fit radio, refit console. Ensure all wires are connected & working as you can’t access the rear of the radio & you’ll have to remove the console to fix any mistakes.

That’s a good idea, I bolted mine. Didn’t think of velcro.

This is the drivers side engine mount from my TD5. I really don’t know - does this look normal or needing replacing? I’m chasing a vibration sound at 2100RPM

I bought a heavy duty drive plate for mine! I got a new key as well. It is getting closer! I am going to have some work to do when the day finally comes. I have become so used to the 300 D1, I reckon a chipped TD5 will blow my mind. It has been three years since it went, and four or more since it went properly. I can't wait to see what else has gone wrong in it's absence. Jan, bless her heart, is already worrying about where I am going to park it. She has terminal cancer and still the trivia fires her up. How can you not love 'em.

    Cannot tell from the pic.
There is a hole in the bottom of the mount. The rubber should be at least 1-2mm from the steel looking or feeling into the hole.

If it is flush then the mount is cactus.

However a 2100RPM vibration is usually the handbrake shoes vibrating against the backing plate. Fix is new shoes and new or welded backing plate.

    Drive to Parkes.

An easy drive, 760 odd kms, all on the black stuff. AC works brilliantly, it helps being overcast.
I’m in Parkes with my torque wrenches, socket set, tool box (50 cal ammo box) fan spanners, oil and coolant. Just in case. I do not have a copy of RAVE on my new iPad.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.
