Thread: What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

We bought brothers(and partially mine for my V8) about a year ago now .. came with the aluminium cover too.
Like jonesFam said .. a bit difficult to unclip/remove it.

It does sit on the reverse side too .. so could be used as mounting plate if modded in some way.

I try to solve all oil leak issues on my 2003 td5 manual (mission impossible) and I have one remaining which comes from the right side of the engine block, just below the intake manifold ports (1st and 2nd). Could be that it comes from the manifold as I have found some oil inside and also the screws were quite loose. Also found oil before the turbo when I removed the hose (could be from breather pipe) which can end up in the intake manifold.

Okay.... never had that on mine! Seems awfully strange to have to attack it to get it off, if it's just a screen protector, though. You would expect it to simply slide off, or some such thing.

Has anyone got in touch with Colin about it?

Same. Mine just came with bubble wrap takes around it

My vibration issue....
swapped my good 3 week old tyres onto the car, balanced, wheel alignment.
that took a lot of it away.

front drive shaft was the first thing I looked at....that went in my old one!
this one feels solid but is not greasable so it's on my hit list...

Took it to Justin for a pre trip check over and there was quite a bit of steering box play...adjusted the steering is much better and most of the remaining vibrations are gone.

they told me the D bushes on the ACE actuators are a bit worn, so I've got new ones coming.

All set for the big drive...leaving Hobart Sat night, on the day sail Sunday, and heading up via Cooma and Canberra and Sydney and Grafton to Brisbane arriving Thursday.
