The liquid is windscreen washer fluid. I have a leak in the bottle or pipes close to the bottle. This'll get put on the to be fixed list and get fixed after my shoulder gets fixed

SupporterDid(or tried too do) the front propshaft on brothers TD5.
Never done a DC prop before .. read all about it, and now fully appreciate the PITA job that other's have referred too.
Cardan ball joint seat refused to move most of the day, but gentle persuasion finally got it moving.
I was worried about the needle rollers in the ball issue, but in the end, got that lined up in one go. Installed the two unis at that end .. couldn't believe my first time round dumb luck! .. until!
Finally went back to the diff end of the shaft to install the flange yoke section to the shaft to complete it, and I think buggered it. Cups wouldn't both fit, so I think a needle roller may have moved and jammed or something.
It was the last bit to do, 5-10mins max right at the end of the night .. no light .. should have left it for tomorrow morning.
I'll sort it all out tomorrow now.
Arthur.
All these discos are giving me a heart attack!

SupporterFrom what I've seen of this design(a backward step from the D1) .. there's a chance that the top front edge of the bottle rubs against the lower rear edge of the headlight surround thing, and or maybe a bullbar/bumper bar.
This is where my brother's recently met it's demise(I still have it).
When I reinstalled mine on my D2 project car, it easy to see how a slight misalignment of either the bottle, bumper or headlight surround could cause the rubbing.
The replacement bottle from the spares car had a lot more clearance than his original bottle too for some strange reason.

She took me fishing this morning. Disco loves the beach. On the way home we helped a Ford Ranger get un-bogged.

Not today, but on Thursday
Drove the D2 to Mt Isa, 450km with 150 of rough graves/rock.
Bought myself a set of good sockets, Torx drivers, Torque Spanner thing & a oil filter remover. All my tools are still in Ravenshoe.
Drove back to Doomadgee on Friday, car full of SWMBO shopping (from a list), 2 X dogs, 1 X 9 year old & myself.
Managed to have a fog light smashed on the gravel but apart from that the BFG (Big friendly Giant) ran faultlessly.
Nice drive & now I can at least undo & fix a few things like that fag light.
