Had the front diff breather um, melt off?? was left with a 30cm stubb off the tube and a melted length just hanging around, so melted in two places??
Had no idea where it was suppose to go so just used a push-on fitting and ran it up the strut tower then into several loops..
    no pics,, sorry..

As anyone in QLD knows we've had some pretty strong westerlies over the last couple of days, so anyone that thought V8's chewed gas, you really had no idea---
anyway the point of the post is I stopped to take a shot of the silo's at Yelarbon and had sudden urge to touch the 2nd trans cooler up front behind the grill,,
    and it was cold.
which means the oil in the trans must have been below 80deg...

and yes its a terrible pic...

Widow maker bracket installed on roof rack

Today I installed the widow maker bracket on the roof rack. You can also install a long handled shovel, which could be useful if the widow maker lives up to its name.

It was quite a bit of fun, as I had no idea how to mount the widow maker on the brackets. It was not as intuitive as I thought.
I am not planning on using the high lift jack, it is there to look good. I work on the premise that if I have it, I won't need it.

One of my staff is driving his Pajero Sport with a pop top back to Doomcity from Harvey Bay.
He phoned to say he will be a day late due to headwinds.
Told him if he had a Land Rover he would get a few extra days off.

Was doing a thorough clean under the D2 to attempt to track oil leak(s).
Thought I'd take a wheel or two off and check the brakes... new rotors and pads now on order all around.
Thank goodness for online ordering during lockdown.
Even ULR deliver to your door next day.

Parked up, still awaiting parts. What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

The bearing shop could only track down one C3 fan pulley bearing, an SKF item just like the OE one in a bearing shop in Bundaberg!
The airbag still hadn't turned up yesterday.
It's only been a week. What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

The exhaust manifold still has to boomerang home, and I think the new IC might take longer still.
