Nanocom says no faults in the slabs. No lights came up.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

....... could it be the abrupt deceleration then acceleration - I’ve had chimes sound when I’ve been descending on loose surface and had wheel slip.

Finally got around to working on the camshaft sensor. Removed the fan and belt in an attempt to access the sensor which I unbolted but couldn’t work out how to undo the connector. I can see it from underneath but can’t get my stupid big hands in. Anyone know where the release tab is on these things?

This is the passenger side which I have sourced but as yet no luck with the drivers side which looks to be in very good order but will change it out because I'm guessing they are the same age.
Think I caught it just in time as it has just started to weep.
Thanks to Phillip and Rick who have just done the same, reading your posts made me go and check lol
Just an quick update both hoses installed around 4.5 hrs start to finish not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Ended up modifying a 19mm ring spanner and that will be added to the rest of the modified tools I have, nearly enough to have its own tool box lol. I also added 5 litres of new atf which will be the 3rd time i have drained it and added new stuff since the last service. I found twisting and pushing the easiest way to connect the new quick release fittings from hose to oil cooler, as Phillip said the new ones are a lot harder to connect.

Was leaving to go to work, opened the gate said hi to the road repair crew who were having a meeting right outside our place and then moved the disco forward. Jumped out to close the gate, get back into the car, select drive expecting to drive off and the thing gave a death rattle and died. Of course the road crew gave me that look so I made a nervous joke about stalling an auto but it wouldn't restart. On the third attempt it sounded like it hydrauliced?? The road crew gave me a hand to push it up the slight incline onto the property. Took the wife's car to work.
When I got home (rather late) the Nannocom gave these faults -

    Motor faults
(3,7) Air flow circuit, logged high
    (22,1) Road speed missing (logged)

    Auto box faults
Code P1884 Can message MD_IND Invalid (Flag F_TL_Mes)
    Code P1843 Can Timeout Monitoring
    Code P1842 Can Level Monitoring

The M&S lights were also flashing. I then cleared all codes and out of curiosity tried to start it which it did, rattled for a bit then died, again! Tried to start it again but the starter motor sounded like it was really straining to turn it over.

Rechecked for faults and this is the only one which popped up -

    Code P0705 Position Switch Monitoring.

The car is used daily and has been going well. Water level is the same as usual. Starter motor is newish. We are suppose to be going away in it tomorrow, looks like it will be the wifes Honda Jazz to the rescue, sigh!

I'm going to start googling the codes but if anyone wants to chime in I'd appreciate it.

    Cheers, James NZ

    From lrukforum
P1842 Transmission Transfer Case Differential Lock-Up Feedback Switch Circuit Failure
P1843 Transmission Transfer Case Differential Lock-Up Feedback Switch Open Circuit

Basically, CAN systems check out before they work and talk to each module via the Gateway, if there is a communication problem, it will log. Most times it's a low battery,

And for Code P1884 Can message MD_IND Invalid (Flag F_TL_Mes) this forum, sierrafery, came up with...
It's about the CAN communication data blink between the ECM and EAT(transmission) ECU, it can be triggered by oil in the ECM red plug too.

So check battery and oil in the red ECM plug.
