    Hi
I was wondering if I could get some friendly advice about my 2003 td5 auto , I am unable to lock or unlock the car with the fob remote , I have also found that when I try to start the car nothing happens no cranking at all, the battery is fully charged , would anyone know of any possible cause for this so I can try and fix the problem

Are you parked near any shops with automatic opening doors?

I can't remember if the D2 has a main starter fuse. Check the fuse box to see if there is a fuse on the main start system.
I assume you can get in the car using the key and that's when it won't start .

I am thinking it maybe the immobiliser system on the car causing this problem now

From memory the D2 has a EKA code that you use the key to access the car and it by passes the immobiliser .it sounds like you need to get this code . An example is you insert the key and you turn it right 1 left twice right twice and it talks to the alarm and lets it accept the key to start.

Others with a better idea than me will be able to tell you how to get the number. Have you got any of the books that came with the car from new? Find a member on here who is close by and has nanocom should work.

    Cheers Ean

Sounds like your Receiver may have failed.

It's bolted to the roof just in front of the rear sunroof, if you have one.

Very simple to swap, the frequency is printed on the unit so you know which one to get.

    Cheers Jerry
