    Anyone running 4.11's?

What are 4.11's like on 32's and on standard 29" with AUTO. Ashcroft's ratio calculator suggests it is only 360 RPM different in high range at 100 kph. Is that a lot?

What RPM are you sitting at at 100 kph and what tire size are you running?

32" here (265/75), stock Diffs, Auto, 2000 RPM. Perfect for long rides.
    Fuel consumption is down to 10 - 11l/100km. Last 600km ride 9.6. :-)
But it works only with enough ooomph... Dont want to test it with stock engine.
Climbing and towing now with some mods is okay but could be better..
I think about to change to 3.8. Maybe the better compromise about travelspeed and climbingpower.
4.11 is took short i think. Good for climbing but too much revs at travelin.

    265/70 * 16 - 30.5" - 5.7% oversize

    Std driveline + auto

    80kmhr - 1775-1800rpm
    90kmhr - 1980-2000rpm
    100kmhr - 2150-2175rpm

With std tune, egr + cat gone, and boost at around 19psi max.

Works well but a few extra ponies would be nice when towing the Kamper. Really needs a bit more boost at the lower revs ... VNT is the likley solution. I can't imagine how bad it would be towing with 265/75 * 16 on the current tune ... went from 255/70 * 16 which were good, to the 276/70 * 16 which imho makes it just a tad too flat on the std tune ... engine revs not quite high enough ... so maybe adding a few more ponies helps overcome that.

With 4.11's you will want to run at least a 33" tyre or it will scream it's tits off on the highway.

Get the tyres first then see how you go.

265/75/16 on mine and standard gearing it lopes along at 110k at 2100 rpm.

    V8 but.

    Nice.

If you want go regear for 32s, Ashcroft do a 3.75 cw/p, or GBR Utah do a 3.9 CWP.
Ashcroft for the auto and GBR for manuals imho, 4.11s are better for 33s.

I am running 4.11's with 32's and I don't find it is revving exceedingly high.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

How much revs do you have at 100km/h? Auto or manual?
Could you Plesse tell me your Fuel consumption with your setup? Thank you!

It's an auto. As for fuel consumption, I have no idea.
I just put fuel in it and drive it.

Next time I drive it I will make a note of the RPM.
