Hi, I am trying to get a RWC and the only thing the mechanic found was that the two rear uni joints in the front driveshaft have too much 'play'. Is this a reasonably simple fix or should I be looking at replacing the whole driveshaft?

If they can get me a brake vac pump to katherine in 2.5 working days (ordered it just after lunch on monday and it was on my doorstep end of play wednesay I'm confident they can get you the shaft in time.
alternatively roverlord offroad spare would be a good bet.
pay very close attention to the centering "pin" that the internal bearing runs on if its got any damage you need to replace the unit. DO NOT EVEN think about giving this bit any "nahh it'll probably be right" attitude. if you do the rebuild. Its worth pulling the shaft down to apply more and better grease to the centering bearing, I've had to rebuild one of these that was supplied installed with only the initial protective grease from the bearing factory.
on edit. Given your location Roverlord offroad spares is probably your best intial bet hes closer.

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
Do you have a Hardie Spicer agent / branch nearby. I had all three uni joints replaced on the front prop shaft of my D2 replaced with heavy duty greasable units and the shaft re-balanced by the local Hardie Spicer branch here in Kalgoorlie.
Cheers .........
