Thread: 96 p38 4.0 and 02 Disco 4.0 blocks

Hi there,

is the cylinder block from a 96 P38 4.0L the same as a 02 Disco? I want to bolt my heads and accessories from my 02 Disco on a 96 4.0L bottom end?

I thought all 4.0 (not 3.9) were 4 bolt mains but I will check. If so then the same but you will need to add knock sensor mounts, different cam pick up and thor crank position sensor mount.
