Question Engine bay wires rubbed through See pic

    Hey all
Was doing my monthly oil and water check on my 01 TD5.

Ive noticed the 2 wires coming from a connecter plug under my oil filter and going over the transmission have rubbed though and are no longer connected to anything.(see photo)
Does anyone know what these cables do, as the car runs no worries.
im guessing they just illuminate the dash for low oil?
    what do you legends think?

Yep, correct -.low oil pressure warning. Just trace back to RH side of engine and replace worn wire sections. It's part of the engine loom harness.

BTW, as far as I know, only one of these wires actually connects into the loom. The other just sort of hangs out there.

I wouldn't assume it does nothing unless you are certain your low oil pressure light comes on when you do an oil change.
