it's one and the same tool.... read this https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rov...on-td5.279411/ ... fact is that it's OBDII and this protocol can comunicate with the D2 but the codes or readings are not reliable, for what it can do you can find much cheaper versions of OBDII scanners
    Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned

I know of a few forum members that have them permanently mounted on the dash so they can monitor their engines.
I was in a members disco 2 td5 the other day, and it had a nanacom, 2 gps units a UHF Radio etc etc mounted on the dash.

If you are down this way drop in for coffee as with the junkies,
I do believe its every where now , some don`t look so they don't see ,,
if you have your eyes open you see it everywhere ,
with the 930 I'm very impressed i have had it a week or so ,
It clears all codes reads everything i can see and runs live data
Maf Map engine temp fuel temp gear position ect ect ,,
you can only have 4 live data on the screen at once ,,
the only thing i see it cant do is program keys or ECU maps ,,
will just buy a nanocom (original) for mapping ,
so far since finding the 2 dry joints in the fuse box i haven't had a fault code in 500+ k`s ,,,,,,
    Fingers crossed
    Rob

I bought one of these from China. $20.99 delivered on ebay , Maxiscan, it arrived a few days later.
It has a cheap smell ( The plastic has that cheap smell)
But it reads and reset codes. I bought it to get codes on a couple of other non Land rover vehicles.
Might be Better than nothing for some people who don't have $ for expensive diagnostic equipment. It will give you the codes.

I know it's in hindsight, but For things like that you should always pay the couple of bucks extra ( approx $1.25 per $100) on postage to insure it. They way you would have a claim on Aus post.
