You will need the patience of a saint for a while, then you will have a reliable D2 once you have been through this. It sounds that the seller was not very straight with you. This latest problem may be oil in the engine harness to the ECM, check the Red and Black connectors at the ECM for oil. If there is oil there clean it with switch cleaner. there are posts on here that deal with cleaning the harness.

Check the ECU red plug for oil and if there is any clean it with contact spray, also give spray in the head plug too, they could have replaced the loom but it takes time for the oil to entirely leave the harness.... also it can be irrelevant that the injector loom was new if it was some cheap aftermarket cos i've seen cases when they were bad from new( i mean weak contacts in the solenoid plugs)
    Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned

    Do you have a Nanocom.?
Find someone nearbye who can read codes first.
It may give you a starting point.
Plenty of possibilities as mentioned however I'd be wriggling the loom around the CPS and where the engine harness joins into the main harness just back from the steering box area.

Sorry to hear about your problems. If you decide to sell, don't do what old mate did to you. Be honest. Break the cycle. Hopefully everything will start coming good for you.

You end up floating in botany bay
