    discovery 2 EGR

I have removed my egr and I was wondering is it better to disconnect the electrical plug for the solenoid on the egr or disconnect and plug the vacuum lines?

    Thanks

From my experience is better to unplug the modulator and blank the vacuum (then you can remove it completely) cos it puts unnecessary load on the MAF's circuit as being there the ECU will energise it on EGR request, an old modulator can create up to 1V voltage drop on that circuit which alters the MAF input... just isolate well the plug to not touch the body.

Just that T piece where the feed for the modulator goes

did you do a full EGR delete ie remove the butterfly valves ?

you should find 2 modulators and both modulators are all T in together means 2 electrical plugs to be disconnected

the middle vacuum line needs to be plugged off on both modulators or one plug via the T piece

See the pic, even if it's the EU2 or EU3 modell there you should blank the vacuum or replace that nr.19 pipe with one suitable pipe then you can unplug and remove all the unused stuff

    good diagram

this is where I also did with mine I plugged the T and then the original vacuum line slid over the the t piece looks all original.. I used Vaseline to allow the original vacuum line slide over the plug on the Tpeice

I have the the 2 electrical plugs removed sprayed them with plastic dip then taped them up
