Do not use any aftermarket sensors . OEM Wabco branded ones are the go.

I have a hard fault 3 amigos and my LR mechanic diagnosed this as a Front RHS abs sensor (came on after went through a few muddy puddles earlier this year
He has a D2 for wrecking at the workshop and will try test that sensor in the truck. But if no luck on that, I've had a look on ebay for some aftermarket sensors (ranging price around $130).
Can anyone share some input to these? should I stay away from them?

Option B doesn't fix a wheel sensor issue. Option B doesn't fix a wheel sensor issue. It is specifically to fix an issue with some abs modulators. If there isn't a fault in the modulator then why suggest an option B mod?
Ended up being a front RH hub bearing and shorting abs sensor - getting the complete hub with sensor sent tomorrow.
Atleast the 3 amigos hard fault will finally be fixed... until the LH goes
$550 + labour for OEM hub bearing and sensor... also locally with 1 day turn around.. Not too shabby I thought

It may not be relevant but 5 years ago I had exactly the same problem RH front and was quoted a similar amount for hub replacement etc. I just removed the abs sensor cleaned the grease off the end and cleaned the connectors reinstalled and cancelled the codes with a newly purchased Hawkeye and not a problem since. What I saved by not having unnecessary work done paid for the diagnostic tool.
But this is my experience with my issue and not necessarily yours.

Yeah we thought we could get away with that at first, tried it with no luck. But it was clear the abs was shorted and there was play in the bearing.
I will order a replacement hub from paddocks next time, the OEM hub assembly are cheaper (freight incl)

those so called OEM hubs are called so cos they are fitted with a wabco sensor but the bearing is poor quality, if you want something good(not cheap) better find a SKF dealer near you and go for the bearing assy without the flange(VKBA6753)...see this post: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/discovery-...uine-hubs.html
