Thanks Scott, the battery actually mounts to the seat mounts behind the trim. I just worked out where they were and fabricated a tray to suit .... easy as mate.

And it sits on this profiled timber and rubber seat in the bottom of the bin.

Yep, its just there to support the weight and provide the height for the tabs to align up with the seat holes. I did think about making the wee legs for the tray but decided it was a waste of time.
