    TD5 Squeak...Intermittent

I'll try to explain best I can! Developed a strange squeak the other day while highway driving.

Sounds like it comes from the front end, sounds in pitch like a fan belt, but I've had squeaky fan belts before, it's not 'tied' to engine revs, cold starts or being stationary.

Best I can describe it's audible above the td5 engine at 2/3000revs, mainly when I go around a roundabout and accelerate. Lasts about 30 secs. Does happen intermittently at other times, but mainly when turning and accelerating.

The other day I came out of a steep uphill driveway & turned left onto the road with the window down, sounded a bit like a wheel bearing (squeak....squeak...slow down with me slowing down, faster with me at walking speed...then stops after 100m or so)

    What do u think??

Check the uni joints for rusty , shiney , or broken cups , see if you have any play , it more than likely needs uni joints , possibly a ball kit as well , if your not familiar with replacing universal joints , then would be easier to just get a replacement or take to a drive line specialist, but as mentioned, don't drive it , but if you need the vehicle, and you have a centre diff lock you can remove the shaft , lock the diff and drive until replacement, just be aware it'll feel different as it's now a rear wheel drive
