    Question Throttle Positioner query

checking over my BCU settings with the nanocom I noticed the throttle was set to 2-position. I think my model 2001 TD5 Disco EU3 would be a 3-position unit. If it is, and I am currently set to 2-position, will this make the vehicle less responsive and in particular, will it do any harm? I am also running a BellAuto remap.

That's strange cos the TPS has not much to do with the BCU, it's setting is in the engine ECU and if it's set wrong there will be no throttle response

sorry about that... I meant engine
so you are saying that if it is a 3-position and set to 2-position... it would not respond? It certainly runs at the moment but the response is a little sluggish. I thought that the 3rd track was just a reference track to help make it respond more smoothly.

I have to say sorry myself too cos i misunderstood first, what i said is valid the other way around, a 3 track setting will not work for Eu2 ECU, your's being Eu3 will work with the 2 track setting but better make it 3.
