    Auto Trans gone crazy

    Hi all landy lovers on my way home from work after a 40 dec day and 10 hr in the sun i am tied and dreaming of cold beer when i noticed my revs getting higher and my speed getting slower and towing 2t trailer i quickly pulled over expecting oil everywhere as the same thing happen 5 month earlier blown cooler line but this time no oil trans temp at time of failing was 46 dec so not hot at all climb under checked trans oil still full but no drive in any position no noise just as if it was in neutral so after 2hr wait tow truck took me home next day still hot as hell in the shed i check for broken flex plate and connected Nanocom no fault found in D2 autogearbox app but it did start to respond to gear selection in park seem like an out of balance at about 1600 rpm than starts to smooth out in reverse feels like it locked in forward and reverse engine will not rev than neutral has drive as well as D 3 2 1 so after playing around with the Nanocom watching the WXYZ opening and closing and the solenoid valves 1 and 2 open and close now i have reverse and no drive whats going on hoping some smart person out there can shed some light the auto was rebuilt at 313000ks and now 354000 its had one service since its on full synthetic oil sorry about long post.

    Unplug the xzy switch to put a fault in it. This will turn both selector solenoids and modulator solenoid off.
    Put it in low range. Try to drive forward and reverse. It will be in third gear forward. This will rule out the electronics.
    If no drive then you need to check line pressure and forward clutch pressure.
    It doesn't leak oil, Its sweating power

    Hi unplugged the XYZ plug got a code p0705 position switch monitoring but the readings i got all gear position except reverse are solenoid 1 off solenoid 2 on solenoid 3 off and reverse has drive and it shows solenoid 1 off solenoid 2 off solenoid 3 off so does than mean solenoid 2 has a problem not getting a signal when in drive meaning electronic problem

    Don't worry what the nanocom says. If it has the m and s lights flashing it turns off all the shift solenoids and modulator solenoid. 3rd and reverse both shift solenoids are off. This is why you are in 3rd in limp home mode.
    If you have reverse and no forward you have either loosing pressure in forward clutch or have burnt out the forward clutch.
    You need to start checking line and forward clutch pressures.

    Ok thanks looks like its going to be another huge repair cost time to cut my overwhelming looses and find a vehicle that doesn't keep me broke

    If you can pull the gear box out, you can change the forward clutch. You don't even need to remove the valve body to remove the forward clutch.
    You can get a heavy duty A clutch pack. The pack is quite small.
    Check pressures first.
