Assuming that your engine is a TD5 then check the wiring harness that runs across the top front of the engine for chaffing. The insulation can wear through causing a short circuit which blows the fuse feeding the MAF.
Hi all, I have just come home from a christmas holiday which is the second time out after replacing my MAF which was giving intermittent faults occuring multiple times. Once replaced with a brand new bosch one i thought it was all good to go no more faults. But on the last trip fuel economy got really bad again. Started checking with the nanocom and what do u know the MAF is now constanly in fault and wont come back online at all. I will dig into the RAVE and start checking wiring. Anyone had issues like this before.

If you have a Bosch maf then you must have a V8, if it is a TD5 it should be VDO-siemens. Any otherAftermarket MAFs are a waste of money.
Sorry its a V8 and was recomended that bosch or original.
Check fuse F2(engine bay fusebox) and if it's good get a multimeter and measure on pin 2 of the MAF's plug(brown/pink wire) if you have 12V with ignition on to rule out a feed issue

Running a standard aircleaner no K&N. I will test voltage when i get home tommorow assuming one of the other pins is ground ? I will double check the rave anyways.
There's no clear ground there, the earth path is delivered by the ECU, measure that voltage against body cos this way you can see if there is good feed or not

Hmmm the plot thickens. I have 14.46VDC at pin 2 and 5.36 at pin 4. Checked fuse as well. I might have to see if i can dig my old maf out and see what thats like. Ill have a look at the rave and test the other wires also to see if they have a break in them.
