    Count the frequency is it crankshaft or camshaft speed ?

    Camshaft speed is half crankshaft speed .

    Use the tach reading . revs per minute . divide to a 5 sec set and guess .

    Probably an exact way but i not clever enough .

    600 rpm divided by 60 secs gives 10

    so 10 revolutions a second for crankshaft and 5 revolutions a sec for cam

    Battler I don't I know about that Robinson Jnr article. I have read too much to the effect that the liners can move and I'm confident I have seen photos of d2 with liners that have dropped. In any event I suspect you will have no choice but to strip and see although it may not be worth it unless you can get any relevant cracked webbing welded and top hats put in cheaply. Cheers
