good luck
Just bought a Southdown snorkel kit for my td5 and was hoping anyone out there can give me the best way to go about attaching the flexible hose to the air box. Supplied with a rubber reducer to glue to the box and have been told to enlarge the original hole on the inner fender but if someone has someone done this successfully? Looks like a small space to run the Flexi pipe in.thought I'd ask before getting the axe out.

Thanks onebob, did read that one, shows the fitment to a d1 air box. Different position and a lot more room than the d2.
Hello wozapinin
A ball peen hammer does the job and a long socket extension. It's been a few years since I did mine. Doesn't exactly look pretty when done, but then it's put in to be practical.
One thing that I did do was get the stainless steel tube extended so that the intake was above the roofline and facing rearwards. This was to help reduce the amont of water getting to the airbox if driving in a downpour. It didn't solve the problem, but helped.
Cheers,
Jason
I realise this is an old thread, however in the interest of those looking for advise (this page came up as a top result in G-Search) the following page has the instruction (albeit basic) for a D2.
