so, am I reading right?
you have a NAS spec car in England?
I used the nanocom to change the NAS spec ECU for one just UK spec. The idea was to stop the thing lighting up the dash everytime a lamda got a sniff of something it did,nt like. I thought at least it would be recognising only the front lambdas and not the rear, and the AAI would be redundant. Well, it partly worked. Got it past the immobiliser, got it running, all good.
The problem started the following morning, it was cold, and the motor started but ran like a sick pig........until it was all nice and hot, then it ran ok. So, I am thinking the SAI is still working, even though nanocom (which os obviously reading the new ecu) says its off. Any clues as to what to do next ?? Cheers for the help.

is the car a 4L or 4.6?
no wait, you wont find a 4.6 ROW ecm,,
We dont have a lot of experience with NAS cars in Oz John,,
first thing I'd do is disconnect the rear O2 sensors,
the ROW ecm may get confused by the input (which it doesnt require)

I posted on here because I seem to remember some of the lads talking about the SAI system and four lambdas......maybe I'm going bonkers. Ive removed the wiring for the rear two sensors, once granddaughter goes ho me tomorrow, I'm replacing the exhaust manifold gaskets, (there's a blow), replacing both coil packs, and the rest of the magnacor leads, then I'll start playing with it in earnest. I,m sure I read somewhere that certain solenoids were disabled, and if the SAI is knocked out, what gives the car its "cold start" facility. Oh, it IS a 4.0, a 2004 ES>
There has been a recent thread on trying to use a NAS 4.6 ecm on a ROW 4.6,, with collaboration from our members around the world,, still an ongoing project I believe,,
I have been told there are around 250 different ecm versions for our D2's.
If all the extra exhaust piping is removed ( Pics?) I cant see why the standard ROW ecm wouldnt work,,
