Thread size for grease nipple in front driveshaft ?.

Does anyone know the thread size for the grease nipple in the front driveshaft slide joint and is there any reason that the nipple can't be left in place so I don't lose the next one ?.

    Thanks,
    Anthony.

I just rebuilt the double cardan joint and the thread size is the same as the nipples supplied with the Hardy Spicer uni's so I used one of those to get out of strife but I'm more looking for something that can be left in place.

if you have a lift or longer travel shocks, might pay to check the nipple wont be torn out by the front cross member on full extension
