No, just an alternative source of the noise you are hearing. For months in 2015 i was trying to find the cause of a loud annoying squeak / creaking noise that was unmistakingly emanating from the area at lower left corner of the windscreen. I removed interior trim panels and the glovebox used cable ties to more firmly secure wiring looms whilst also liberally applying silicone spray inside the dash and outside where all dash panel edges etc abutted each other - no joy at all. Noise was worst on long drives or on any hot day above above 30C. Anyway i had to put the D2 into my mechanic to have the harmonic balancer replaced and on pickup he told me that the left hand engine mount had totally collapsed. So the D2 was back into him some days later to have the engine mounts done and "bingo" since then all creaks and squeaks are gone!! It's seemingly apparent that the sound from the failing engine mount was being transmitted thru the chassis rail and somehow up into the bulkhead / fire wall.

Maybe......? Do you get vibration during acceleration (felt under your feet) ...did in my case.

Not sure, I have not noticed this.
Definitely have that squeak on passenger side around the lower windscreen though.

Do you have a really low frequncy vibration that seems to shake your fillings loose? If possible have a drive in a different Disco TD5

Following up on this I checked out some D2's that were lying around at the local servo. Some of the D2's had the same crack along the seam which leads me to believe this is a common issue with this model.
