Radius Arm bush bolt hole damage.

OK, I'm sure I've got to the bottom of this. The issue I had was the front outer hole for the radius arm bush bolt was elongated.

I didn't notice when I removed the radius arms as I was focused on getting the bushes pressed in, which was not an easy task. It was also after work and the lighting was not great.

Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of the worst elongated hole but this was the passenger side, the drivers side was much worse. The long bolts have a slightly greater diameter shank on the head end, so to get a better idea of how much 'out of round' the hole was I took the bolt out and put it in backwards to make it fit more snug in the tube welded to the chassis.

The hole was approx. 1mm elongated on the passenger side (pictured) and about 2mm on the drivers side. I've fixed this now and the effect is pulling the drivers side forward about 2mm and pushing the passenger side back about 1mm. This has most definitely improved the thrust angle and the car no longer tries to drive itself off the road. I'll take it back to the suspension specialist and get it measured accurately to compare the results and measure the thrust angle and rear toe.

Also, before we started we put a very long straight edge across the rear drivers side tire and it confirmed there was a gap of about 10mm (we didn't measure it) from the front wheel to where the straight edge was. After the fix we did the same thing and there was about a 2mm gap. This is not perfect because front adjustable panhard rod might be out by 2mm. But it is an obvious improvement of about 8mm.

Good that you've found it, bad that it's happened. Dang.
