    Maf wiring harness repair job

Please see the maf wiring harness, as you an see it is somewhat frayed

    Any tips on repair?

I am concerned the wire with the single strand is very short to the plug and I could easily screw it up

    thanks

    Looks like a V8 D2
If you were in Melbourne you could go to one of the DYI wreckers and use a pair of wire cutters and snip a replacemnt plug off and solder and heat shrink it to the existing wiring. Would cost you under $10 including entry I would imagine.

We don't do second hand stuff,, Damn, I only just threw out a second hand loom the other week, I could have pulled it off for you.
You could try member Bundelane ( Erich) he might be able to help you. He wrecks D2s and is great to deal with, never had any problems with his stuff. He would be the number one go to for second hand stuff.

There are repair kits with pins and seals for that kind of plugs in dedicated stores and you can simply unpin it and make a new harness with new pins to connect to the vehicle's loom, for example for the Td5 but there must be 4 way versions for V8 as well

    Thanks for the reminder

I too have bought stuff from Erich

Last time I spoke with him, he was considering giving it away

I have searched here and ebay, but can't seem to locate him

Would you have any contact details?

    thank
