Hi John,
Not changed back as yet! Planning to do as the next project so will keep updated on here.
Just had the long weekend away with the car loaded to the roof and would of loved to have the air springs to keep the car level!! So maybe sooner?

Since posting the question I've spoken to a local Landy specialist & he's quite against me taking the springs out & redoing the bags. He explained that apparently it's hard to diagnose faults with SLS but it's almost always electrical as the failure point. But he did say that diagnosing the reason why the pump burns out can be troublesome.
So a good quality bag then & keep a spare on board? He did mention that he's modified an ARB compressor to do the same job previously.
IMO that man can't be called "specialist"... the SLS is one of the most simple systems on a D2, easy to diagnose and to repair... on the contrary, most problems are due to air leaks especially bags, eventually worn out compressor or snapped height sensors, purely electrical failures are quite rare.... though who am i to contradict a specialist[bighmmm]
not much of a specialist,, its pretty simple..
he obviously doesnt want your work,,
So just purchased four new shocks and front springs, went with standard height EFS.
Now I need new bags and hoses and a service compressor kit.
Any suggestions on place to buy?
Genuine bags or after market?
Hoses?? Can you get aftermarket from an air line supply place?
I'm also still thinking of putting in Airbags.
What does everyone think of these?
