    Thanks from me too.
    I have 2 x D2 V8s. One parts, and the other is the project.
    My daily is a 300 TDi D1, and I have all bolts(ie. no studs).

    Brother has a Td5(D2), and having been under it, (I think)I saw all bolts too. Only under it briefly to be sure it's not leaking, but didn't really look in depth to see if they used all bolts or two studs.

    Have yet to get under the V8s.

    I have same issue nothing major yet but thinking the shaft seal is going
    Atm I'm just saying it bleeds Britain
    And enjoying the drive

    And it's gradually rust proofing the underside of the vehicle too .. you don't get that in Nissyotas!
