Thanks for your advice everyone. I ended up getting a set of 6 x 265/70/16's. I've only done 40km or so today on them. What I've noticed is that at 100km the revs has dropped by about 150 RPM (guesstimation) and the speedo is out by about 5km up to 80km/h. At 100km/h it's about 7km out.

I ended up buying the Falken Wildpeaks AT2 as they were $190 compared to Coopers/Micky Thompson/etc that are $300

Thanks again. I appreciate the advice

    Nice choice. Same as mine.

I found that my speedo corrected and reads bang on 100kph at 100kph on the GPS. Your milage may vary. No pun intended.

Just a quick follow up. Went to Melrose on the weekend. Did the jungle track, trials circuit & a couple of tag along tours & barely got any wheel spin. Lowered tyres to about 28psi. No issues at all

I put these tyres on & drove about 50km around town. Then drove the 300km or so to Melrose on the weekend. From what I could see with the 50km or so, 93km/h on the speedo is 100km/h on GPS. Engine revs about 2100 (between 2000 & 2250 markers ) at 100km/h (speedo). Engine seems to rely a bit better on torque without dropping gears too often. Hard to tell what it's like with the camper on tho. We've only bought it a month/6 weeks ago.

The Falkens are an AT tyre, so not an aggressive muddy & not a smoother road tyre. Not sure if that helps.
