    Original Shocks

Anyone know who manufactured the original Land Rover shocks for the D2's?
    Had a supplier suggest Woodhead?
can get them at a pretty cheap price!
    $85 per shock

Deefers, RRC and D1's were Woodhead (UK Monroe)

I'll have a look at some point over the weekend, but pretty impressed with the ride/control compromise of the OE D2 dampers.

I had Pedders red 9100 on the rear, I found them hard and harsh. The bush broke so I put on a second hand pair of originals. A much better ride.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

    Update
Changed to new original dampers today after the defecate EFS shocks that I installed last month. So good to get the nice smooth ride back and the control of the original dampers without the boat feel of the 260000km originals!!

I replaced mine with genuines as was having a hard time trying to match the rears for SLS .... We're outback atm and they are doing a superb job. Happy with them.

Hi Lemo, where did you get your original dampers from? What brand were they?

Got them from Hunter (prestige) Land Rover in Newcastle. Any Rover dealer spares should be able to get them??
    $141 each
    part numbers
    RNB103533 - front shock
    open370 - closed580
    RPD102363 - rear shock
    open360 - closed570

They are original stamped as Land Rover made in Spain, I've been told they're woodhead (Monroe).

I tried several suppliers and no one could get the original rears. Maybe try TRS in Adelaide.
Triumph Rover Spares - The World's Largest Land Rover Dismantler
Was quoted around $85 each but they couldn't confirm the rears to be exact replacement and to be honest the few times I've rang them they've been quite rude so it put me off!
