 Yes to de gassing the AC. As for lifting it of in one piece. Once the bits have all been disconnected, you could jack up say the rear, with a jack at each corner. set on blocks, Jack up the front, set on blocks. Jack up 10cms at a time. It is how houses are levelled and re blocked. Eventually the body will be high enough and hopefully not wobbly enough to allow the chassis to be pushed out of the way.
