Hopefully it's a bad contact or some wiring issue between the SLABS ECU and modulator cos if not you'll have to replace the modulator, you can check the solenoid with multimeter to rule it out, if you dont have it yet download a RAVE cos you'll need the Electrical library - Connector views for this troubleshooting, confirm when you have that and i'll tell you exactly what to do

    Thanks sierrafery.
I had a feeling that was the case for this fault. I have RAVE and have no problem fault finding, just wanted a second opinion on the diagnosis as I know some of the fault descriptions aren't totally reliable.
Anyway, I appreciate your input and offer of help.

Unplug the modulator(C0501) and measure resistance across earth and pin 10 in the modulator's connector, if you get open circuit it's bad luck cos you'll have to replace it, if not open circuit you can compare resistance with pin 7 which is the RLOV... if this is ruled out plug it back and measure at SLABS C0506 -10 cos from here the output is hardwired to C0501...or make a continuity test between the two plugs on pins 10 both sides(grey/purple wire)

I haven't done any testing yet, but if the problem were to be inside the modulator, surely it can be pulled apart for inspection.
I seem to recall someone posting a couple of WABCO drawings showing the internals of the modulator, Offtrack, I think.

Thanks for that info. I have a spare one I pulled off a wreck. Now I know how to test it, well, at least partially.

I attach you the document which shows internal diagrams of the modulator(see from page 26 and beyond) but i doubt that you'll be able to replace a solenoid valve in it also it's more likely to be a wiring issue ... i'm watching with interest the outcome anyway, good luck

Well, good news at last. The solenoid resistance checks out okay. So I cleaned up the connector pins as well as I could without taking the plug apart. Hopefully that will be good enough to keep the 3 amigos away for a while.

Yes, this is the document in the manuals section here. I thought I recalled seeing a separate WABCO drawing showing the breakdown of all the internal parts. I could be mistaken however.
Anyway, its not an issue for me right now.

    Nanocom fault: 3 amigos

    Oops, spoke too soon.
    They're back with a vengeance.
Last night I had the same right rear outlet valve fault, which I cleared, but kept returning. Then when I got home, with amigos still up, it chimed 3 times which it hadn't done before. Went to clear the fault and found a new shuttle valve fault that would not clear.
I'm wondering now if the two faults are related. Possible earthing issue?
Wish I could get my hands on an old modulator so I could investigate the internals.
