    slick shift

    Hi all has any one installed a slick shift in their d2 manual gear box and if so is it any good as I'm thinking of buying one to tighten the shift pattern up any help would be muck appreciated thanks .

    I have the kit and will be fitting it soon. Will get back to you. Basically all it does is replace the bias plate, which is prone to breaking, with a mod that has a solid bit , and stronger springs. Check the link posted earlier from lyhoon 94.
    I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

    This shows you what needs to be done to get to the bias plate. More or less explains the operation of the bias plate. You will see the how the slick shift overcomes the problem of a broken bias plate if you watch both videos.

    That's the one. I'll be forced to get off my backside and install it now, I guess. If I can do it, any one can. Most would be a lot quicker than I, but that's ok. Can't be any harder than the CDL connection kit. Also a good time to clean the top of the gearbox.
