I honestly cannot see why it is a Bad thing to fit HID's to the High beams of My, D2a, The High and low beams are two different lights and don't run on the same globe like many other cars.
When the lights are dipped the low beams are stock standard, So oncoming Vehicles are NOT affected by the HID's because the lights are dipped and are running on standard globes.
With the standard globes in the D2a High beam is pretty "Ordinary" and the +120 HID's light up the road far better.

Because it's a crap 'fix'. The reflector scatters the light instead of focussing it, giving lots of glare and not that much useable light

I also have 2x 9 inch 370w spotties and a 420w lightbar fitted so night turns to day when I crank those up
The HID's in my High beams may Not be the "Bees Knees" But at a cost of about $70 and without having to fit any additional wiring they are still Better than the factory globes.
Not all of us have a Big cheque Book or are electronics "Wizzes" So finding a cost effective and simple solution to improving the pretty Ordinary factory fitted lighting on our trucks is what many of us are looking for.
We may not end up with the Biggest, Best and Fanciest lighting set up But if it is an improvement over the standard lights then it isn't a wasted exercise.

as far as i know frylight are not sponsors or even on here.

try a set of +130's i put them in and was a great improvement over std bulbs in my d2a

couldn't tell ya if they lf loom plugs straight into them send them a message they seem to somewhat helpful and even in comparision's dont ****can lightforce

on your high beam will they be an improvment to you yes but they will **** anyone off that that you havent dipped ya lights for.
how much of an improvement they would be i dont know they might be simerlar to the +130 they might be better again

oh if you have 9in spotties hanging upside down in the rubber bar then the frylight will fit i think they are 7in

If you have driving lights or light bars fitted why bother about messing with hi-beam.....

I fitted quality set of driving lights which I leave switched on ...... never had a reason to switch off the driving lights and go back to just hi-beam

The HID's were fitted a year Prior to the Bullbar that allowed me to fit the additional lighting options.
The ability to Fit driving lights on a non bullbar D2a is severely limited so HID's were pretty much my Only option to improve the lights at that time

Agreed. The +130s are a simple and effective upgrade.
