Thread: Dual Battery

Has anyone changed the second battery from the fire wall to the front of the air cleaner on a 1999 disco 2 have some ideas but would like some different views on the subject

Huh?
There is no room there unless you plan on an extensive rejig.
What I did is change the batteries around so the starting battery is on the firewall and house battery in the original position. My Optima Blue top lasted 4.5 years there in a TD5 until recently failing and I can fit a 130AH in the original position.
Another alterative offered by the bloke who sold me the new battery was to put a flat one under the driver's seat. First time I have heard of this but not a bad idea and he said he had done it several times.
