    ACE pump

    Hi everyone,
Just a quick question. While in the process of tracking down a chirpy serpentine belt, i noticed the ACE pump is reasonably hard to turn by hand. Is this the norm? I cant imagine it would spin freely, but i am curious as to others experience.

    Thanks,
    Lachlan

I think from memory the last 4 that I had something to do with were not that easy to turn by hand.

I pulled my belt off today the Ace pump was easy to turn but did have small resistance and smooth, it hasn't been started for 6 weeks so i would imagine any pressure it the line would have bled back by now.
I am not sure is this would be a good idea but you could crack the outlet on the pump to release any pressure, retighten immediately and feel the pump then.
