ECU maps do not have "years", they have tunes for a specific type of ECU and a type of vehicle.
The type of vehicle is a combination of Defender // Disco, Manual // Auto, EU2 or EU3.
In addition there can be tunes to suit specific markets - Europe, ROW, Korea, and Japan are the main ones.
This applies to MSB ECU's also. The main difference between MSB and NNN tunes for EU2's is the reflashable ECU required the engine maps to be structured in a way that matches the erasable blocks of the flash memory.
An EU2 tune - the portion that get remapped - is almost identical between equivalent MSB and NNN versions.
