Loud boxy air sound behind left hand side dash while driving only
Hi guys, As the title says I have a loud boxy air sound coming behind the left hand side of the dash.
It had gradually got louder and the faster I go the louder it gets. The air seems to be rushing around like crazy but I cant see a hole anywhere.
I also think the temp control blows cold air at times on cold days sometimes as well.
I have suspicions that there is something broken or not opening and closing properly but I know absolutely nothing about these systems. If it is related to this.
Does anyone know about this issue or have any ideas what is happening. I'd really like to fix this up because it's too loud to drive all the time.

Have you had any radiator work done? As I used to get a gurgling sound in the dash when the radiator hadn't been bled properly. I used to pulse it by turning the ignition off, then on while driving down a hill in an unpopulated area of course!

Radiator and cooling system is all good, I did recently replace the outlet connector but this made no change. The sound is definitely sounds like air rushing in and louder on a windy day. Its like having the window cracked.
I had noticed from time to time a piece of broken rounded black plastic in the passenger foot area and wondered what it was from. I suspect there may be bits breaking off.
Think i'll have to start pulling things apart.

I had a similar sound happen on my old d3. Passenger side. Couldn't figure it out until the black windscreen finisher trim tore itself off on the highway. Whoever had done the last windscreen replacement had broken some trim clips on the a-pillar finisher and it must have been deforming and creating a resonant cavity as the air rushed past.
