Interestingly 2 presses of the remote does not unlock the rear door - but 3 does...I can hear the mechanism sounding a bit sad (slow and long duration) so I suspect the third press (where I hear movement) is required to advance the unlock mechanism that little bit more - it then unlocks. I suspect as Slunnie says I am likely up for a new mechanism (genuine. Not cheap but likely good investment).

Job jobbed today. Quite an easy job although rivuts for rear ladder encroaching made it extremely tight. Great result. One of the more expensive maintenance items for the D2 that I h20230805_105117.jpg20230805_102952.jpg20230805_102930.jpg20230805_105108.jpgave had in a while. Cheers

Interestingly despite Cape York and other dirt roads 22 years of dirt hadn't made its way into the grease of the mechanism. So the old one just died of decades of use. The new one is noticeably faster so the old one was on the way out for a while. Cheers
