Fuse F25 is blown in the interior fusebox...unless you are unlucky enough to be a wiring issue on that circuit, it's not mentioned in the manual but it was made on purpose this way by LR as to have a warning if the brake lights are not working

So, I think the new brake controller (red arc,tow pro elite)when plugged into the CT is popping the fuse as it has occurred again.
Can I place a 30 amp fuse in?

Don't put stronger fuse cos if the circuit blows the 25A fuse it will melt the wiring with bigger load

Recently while I was sorting some stuff on my brothers '03 TD5, I noticed that no brake lights were working too.
Obvious thing was to reach for the F25 fuse too .. all good!
Next obvious check point was the brake switch(at least easy to get too) .. all good!



Now the hard part ... trying to trace the various connectors for whatever disconnection.
Check many connections, all coming up good, so the next point was to search earth paths.

Never during all that time did I think that all three globes would be out .. so having no clue as to where to search next, I removed both tailights and all light connections were working. Globes looked good, but I used a couple of new ones .. nothing!
No lights. pulled new ones tried indicator globes instead(as they were working).
Partial success .. one briefly worked but stopped again.

Ah! .. something playing funny buggers with the seating of the globe(s) ..
Yep! both globes were fine(as per inspection) .. but the seating of the globe in the 'glavanized' or whatever .. base was 'touchy'. all the tracks at the back were fine.
Attack of the killer WD40 can was my only option at this point.
Sprayed liberally .... everywhere .... and everything related to the light assembly.
Fitted globes squirmed and squished them around lots and finally both tail light brakes were operational again .. but not centre high mount globe.
PITA cover(to refit) off .. and globe was black as night .. gone! LED replacement for that one and all three brake lights now working.
But with all that mucking about I never saw any indication that the brake lights were not working, nor any error come up via the nanocom.

The only reason I noticed that the car had no brake lights was reversing back towards a shop window.
