So whilst trying to diagnose a high pitched squeal at idle (be looking for ages), I was investigating the IAC valve and the attached hoses.
Upon removing the hoses the one that goes into the upper intake plenum pulled its brass fitting out of it's port, see pics below.
Now I can't see anywhere that this is a separate part and that it is removable.
Do I just push it back in and be done with it?
Or can I glue it back in?
Or is it just buggered?

SupporterI would just glue it back in - as long as it seals.
If not that part of the plenum unbolts so you should be able to get it from a wrecker fairly cheap.

Seen it before, no biggie. Undo the stainless hose clamp (lever off the clip with a small screwdriver), take the fitting out of the hose then tap it back into the manifold. Use some sealant if for some reason it's loose, but that's unlikely. Cheap superglue, liquid thread sealant or Loctite bearing retaining compound if you prefer. There is only vacuum at that point so not much force on it.

Thanks all,
I did assume that gluing will be fine as it's not under any pressure.
I had to move the vehicle so just pushed it back in and it drove fine, so no doubt a bit of glue will be ok.
Fingers crossed there was a vacuum leak from there, as this whistling is driving me crazy!
