    Faded flares..

Hi all, has anyone spruced up the flares on their D2?
Mine have faded and look a bit ordinary so was wondering if something like Plastidip or something on them? Still in good nick just the fading so dont really need a new set. Cheers Brett

I have been experimenting with mine - sanded all 4 back to remove the clothes-grabbing texture and sprayed 1 with a couple of coats of matte black. The finish is a bit inconsistent, so I am going to hit it with a gloss clear coat in the next couple of days, will post some pics of how it turns out. If that doesn't work well enough, I might sand them back further and use a filler material to even out the texture on the top of the arch, but really don't want to.

I used 'Bumper Black' in a spray can from Auto-One. Was very pleased with the result.

Ditto, but I sanded and primed them as they had gone rough.

I was very pleased with the result and I also did my rear bumper.
