    Disco 2 Transfer Case Question

    Hi fellow Disco lovers,
    Simple question, what size is the Allen hex on the filler plug on the back of the transfer case? Car and me are 500 k apart.

    Half inch square drive, but blimey you'll need a long extension, but seriously a half inch to three eights reducer , a six inch three eighths extension will bring it back to access from behind the handbrake drum if you know what I mean

    Most T/C have a 1/2 drive type square plug but I have seen them with the torque or star type. Never seen one with a allen head fitting.

    My transfer is half in drive but my r380 5 speed fills with a torx. Cheers

    From memory I think I have used my 1/2 inch ratchet without a socket on it. Fit snugly in front of the handbrake drum. Don't know if that's recommended. Have to use my fingers to get it out the last bit of thread.
