I would want to be 100% certain that genuine washers & “o” rings AND washers were actually fitted.
We have never found an issue with the genuine parts and have replaced them many times over the years.
To cut a long story short, 2 confirmed cases and 1 suspect, here's the evidence: https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/ ... st-4105651 , anyone know by any chance the size of good o-rings?

As long as the UK supplier can be considered serious i can vouch that the o-rings used by my friend were in a LR labelled bag ordered as genuine LR (not OEM or other)..., maybe you didnt read the whole story or you think i'm a liar, no probs, just think about the saga with the drive shaft seals and IMO better be cautious than excessively confident .... never underestimate somebody's incompetence in this area, i wouldn't have made this warning public if i wasnt sure about it, believe me or not

I can guarantee the genuine washer can be the wrong size. Some of you including JC may remember when I did mine a few years back I had issues and could not work out why until I removed them and actually compared the washers to the old ones. They were around a mm smaller in diameter. You could not pick it without putting them together. Second genuine set were fine.

I've seen a mates set of Britpart washers have imperfections enough to leak compression. Really, washers, can't make washers. *sigh*
