Question Turbo oil drain leak - warped flange on pipe?

Is it possible for the flange on the turbo oil drain pipe to be warped? I replaced the gasket when I changed my exhaust manifold and it's leaking down.

When I replaced my manifold I pulled the turbo away to release it.
The turbo drain started to leak where the flexible part joins the solid part.
It's hard to see where the leak is from, but I suggest that it is more likely to be that if you have moved the pipe.
Unless of course you do not have the bolts fully tight, but there is no pressure there and AFAIR there is a flange that goes into the hole.

Turbo oil drain leak - warped flange on pipe?

Mine also leaks. Oil weeping from the engine side bolt. I pulled it apart and found there 2 seals in there-one was bonded to the turbo, the other was as normal. It still leaks after replacement/refit. Suspect it’s warped. I heard you can refaced the pipe flange. Am yet to have time to try it. Need a finer wheel for my bench grinder. Probably worth a shot.

Being able to add an oil return line for the Provent would be a big plus.

    Are those Proflow fittings?

How are they connected to the bottom of the turbo or have you modified the original flange to suit the new fittings?

Make sure it's not the supply hose leaking down on it , that will be the costly one if it fails completely.
I always use Permatex aviation goo on the drain pipes i have done, gasket or oring i still use it and never have much trouble with them,on mostly truck turbos though.

Sadly for me, the nearest Proflow dealer is 220km away from me in the north of Tasmania. Might go and have a chat to the local Enzed though as there's a few Enzed listed as dealers on their website.

I'm not sure which is the correct one but they are listed on p. 203 of the Proflow catalogue < http://www.proflow.com.au/downloads/proflow2017.pdf >.
